SARAH'S STORY

Sarah is a semi-abstract Colourist painter living in Guildford, Surrey.
Her work reflects the cycle of the seasons, in colour, subject and light.
Sarah responds intuitively to the landscape, seeking to capture the elemental nature of a place rather than to record a literal interpretation. At times, she focuses on small details, such as a single flower; at others, she captures the entire landscape.
Sarah’s paintings are bursting with energy and life force. Dynamic, gestural mark-making creates movement and rhythm. Like notes on a score, Sarah hand draws her story onto the canvas. Pops of colour punctuate layers of paint which like patina, have been built up and scraped back over time.

Sarah's paintings bring joy to all lovers of colour and nature.
