FINALIST
Surrey Artist of the Year 2021
I am incredibly excited to announce that I have been shortlisted as a finalist for the
Surrey Artist of the Year Award 2021.
My paintings will be on display at the
New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham.
The winner is decided by public vote so please visit the exhibition between 25 September and 21 October to cast your vote!
My studio will be open to the public as part of the annual
Surrey Open Studios event. You can drop in between 11 - 5pm on
Saturday 26/Sunday 27 September 2020.
I am part of the Merrow Art Trail and you can also visit Nick Pyne's studio which is a few doors down the road.
Covid 19 - The studio is accessed via my garden.Doors will be left open for ventilation and the studio operates a one way system. Hand sanitiser/masks will be situated at the entrance and you will be asked to sign a trace and track book on arrival. Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
If you are looking to make a day of it then I would recommend the following local pubs for lunch. Both offer alfresco eating and are a 5 minute drive away:

Workshops

These photographs were taken at a workshop I ran for an adult art group. Here, we explored ways in which to create texture within landscape paintings using a range of mixed media materials and techniques.
Surrey Artist Open Studios
Weekends 1, 2 and 8, 9 June 2019
My studio will be open from 10 - 5pm over two weekends as part of the annual Surrey Open Studio event. There will be an opportunity to view an exhibition of my work and to watch me demonstrate some of the techniques I use to create texture in my painting. My sketchpad will also be out so that you can see how my 'en plein air sketches' develop into fully formed paintings. Join me for a complimentary glass of Pimms or cordial in my garden and share my passion for paint. All works will be for sale ranging from small studies framed under glass up to large, metre squared canvases.
I will also have greeting cards available for purchase. There are lots of new paintings this year inspired by recent visits to the Lake District and St Ives.
Debit cards accepted.
