Lines upon the Landscape

There is something about telegraph poles stringing their way across a rural landscape that I just love.
It's all about the thin, linear wires cutting through the sky and contrasting with the textures of fields and hedgerows below. I also love that they create linear perspective and add depth to a painting.
'Lines upon the Landscape' is a painting that was created by building up multiple layers over time. I worked with acrylic, acrylic inks and crayon on a wooden panel.
Bespoke frame with a white slip and scoop mould painted in F&B’s Old School House white.
