Look up to the Sky
forms part of the WILD SPIRIT series. All eight paintings in this series evoke freedom and celebrate the raw beauty of nature. Wild Spirit refers to the transcendental connection that can be experienced when walking the land as well as the cultural and historical significance we imbue within it.
 
Look up to the Sky
explores the idea of constructed, intuitive spaces which exist more in mind and memory of visits to the Lake District than reality. You'll notice lively painterly passages and a distinct shift in colour palette. I'm loving this loose approach and hope that you'll pick up on the vibrancy and vitality in the work.
